5:00pm - Ouimet Canyon Suspension Bridge

Took an hour long detour to Canada's longest suspension bridge (600ft, plus a smaller 300ft. one). Somewhat sketchy dirt road to get there but the little Prius seems to do just fine off the beaten track, Bridget, on the other hand, is a different story. The lonely planet said we couldn't miss it, and it also said it was $2.00. Not quite right on the latter. It's actually $18, but it's well worth it... especially because it gave us a chance to go for a 30 minute "hike" after having been stuck in the car for days. The bridges themselves are extremely high and incredibly wobbly, but it gets your heart rate going anyway! There is an AMAZING zipline that goes from the highest point of one bridge about 1800 feet straight down through the canyon. It wasn't open today, and I don't think it's ever actually been open yet, but if you're in the neighborhood remember to enquire about it!
